Do I need to provide your team with my own cleaning equipment or supplies?
We provide all the cleaning equipment and supplies. We use our own custom-made cleaning products that are all-natural and organic. But if you have your own products and equipment you would like us to use, we would be happy to do so!
What do you mean by eco-friendly?
We never use disposable or paper products for our cleaning services. Instead, we use washable and reusable tools and equipment that significantly reduce our environmental impact. To avoid cross-contamination, items are color-coded for different applications. In addition, TRUE SHINE makes its own cleaning products that are all-natural and organic. We use these products free of charge, enabling us to leave your space truly clean without toxic residues or fragrances while safeguarding our workers’ health and your family’s health (including pets!).
Are you okay with pets being in the home during a cleaning service?
We love pets! In fact, we have a registered Pet Partners team! Founder Lorena, and TRUE SHINE mascot Braveheart, volunteer their time with children and college students to help with literacy and stress relief. We love to interact with our client’s pets so you do not need to leave them outside or in a crate. We will even let them out in your yard for potty breaks and exercise as a courtesy service. (especially if you are not home when we come to clean your home!)
Can I provide your team with special instructions?
Absolutely! At TRUE SHINE one of our core business tenets is that we are client-focused. We will work with you directly to learn your preferences and often co-create cleaning packages with individual clients.
Do I need to be home for every cleaning service?
You do not! We work with your schedule and what works best for you. Our service is backed by a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, which means you will always have it your way. We will send our cleaning team back to your house free of charge if you are not fully satisfied and feel we missed something. As expected, we are insured, bonded, and licensed.

We developed our 20-Point Commercial Checklist with the goal of enhancing the health and general well-being of your employees, your work environment and our staff. We are committed to utilizing sustainable products and processes in our commercial cleaning.

Cleaning Checklist

The 20-Point Commercial Checklist includes cleaning in these areas:

TRASH/RECYCLING

  • Empty trash cans – Empty can and replace liner only if soiled. Plastic bags are replaced as needed in order to reduce the amount of plastic introduced into the waste stream.
  • Empty paper/plastic/aluminum/glass recycling bins – Empty bin and wet wipe with cleaner in case of liquid contamination. Recycling bins are not lined with a plastic bag in order to reduce the amount of plastic introduced into the waste stream.

GENERAL CLEANING

  • Remove litter and debris – Pick up and dispose of cast-off items such as papers, cups, food wrappers, etc.
  • Straighten furniture – Return movable furniture to the normal configuration after cleaning, such as pushing conference chairs neatly up to the table.
  • Clean entrance mats – Vacuum or turn over grid floor mats daily to remove dirt.
    Remove and clean recessed entrance grids as needed.
  • Clean doorknobs, lever handles, switch plates, push bars, and pull handles – Clean these common touchpoints to reduce the potential for cross-contamination.
  • Clean restroom fixtures, mirrors, and partitions – Clean restroom sinks, mirrors, and partitions during the routine sanitation of the restrooms each visit.
  • Clean toilets and urinals – Clean toilets and urinals during the routine sanitation of the restrooms each visit. Microfiber wipers are color-coded so that there is no cross-contamination between the sinks/mirrors and the toilets/urinals. Red wipers are used for the toilets and urinals, and yellow wipers are used for the sinks and mirrors. The microfiber wipers are machine washed after use and fresh wipers are used in each restroom to reduce the potential for cross-contamination.
  • Replenish restroom supplies – Replenish hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper during the routine sanitation of the restrooms each visit as needed depending on user load.
  • Clean water fountains – Clean as part of the routine cleaning each visit.
  • Clean interior door glass and entrance glass – Wipe glass clean of smudges, smears, and spots.
  • Spot clean wet wipe surfaces – Wet wipe surfaces such as tables, desks, and walls to remove dirt, grime, and spots.
  • Appliance cleaning – Cleaning the exterior of microwaves, refrigerators, and stoves/ovens are always included for break room areas.
  • Vacuum or damp wipe furniture – Vacuum cloth upholstered furniture; damp wipe plastic, wood, or vinyl upholstered furniture as necessary to remove dirt, grime, and spots. (Wet cleaning of cloth upholstery is an additional service)
  • Dust all surfaces – Dust surfaces that are free of objects, including ledges, window sills, and cubicle partitions. High dusting and cobweb removal will be performed on an as-needed basis.
  • Interior window cleaning – Interior window cleaning is performed on an as-needed basis. Exterior window cleaning is added to the contract to be performed at regular intervals

FLOOR CARE

  • Vacuum – Vacuum floor surfaces, carpet, and hard floors to remove loose dirt and dust. We use vacuums with HEPA filtration systems to effectively capture and contain 99.9% of particles measuring one micron or larger.
  • Sweep – Brooms are used routinely to sweep restrooms, break rooms, and outside entrances rather than vacuums because of the potential for the floor surfaces to be wet.
  • Mop – Manual damp mopping is used on hard surface floors to remove spots and spills.
  • Carpet washing/extraction – Spots and spills, as well as overall maintenance on carpets is added to the contract to be performed at regular intervals. Carpet washing/extraction is the wet cleaning process used for thorough wall-to-wall cleaning of the carpet.
